Welcome to the Snowy Enterprise Centre
Established in 1993, the Snowy-Monaro Business Enterprise Centre Inc. (BEC) operates as a not-for-profit, community-based, incorporated association situated in Cooma. It provides rural business, industry and community development services.
The objective of the Snowy-Monaro Business Enterprise Centre is to encourage, facilitate and support the establishment and development of sustainable industry and business in the Cooma-Monaro and Snowy Mountains region.
It is part of a national business assistance network called Business Enterprise Centres Australia.
The BEC is managed by a voluntary Board of Directors, comprised of business and community leaders from the Snowy Monaro region. The day-to-day operations are managed by a full-time manager and administrative support staff.
The Snowy Enterprise Centre, managed by the BEC, is housed in a 1911 heritage building, originally built as an Army Drill Hall. It has been renovated into a secure, modern facility with a range of high technology equipment.
