A business incubator is a number of individual businesses operating independently but within one location. The aim of a business incubator is to help businesses establish or grow. The environment of lower overhead costs, shorter lease terms, shared resources, professional management and a range of business support services help promote the growth of your business.
The Snowy Enterprise Centre is a business incubator with eight office spaces and a storage shed. There is also the option for virtual- external tenancy.
The Centre was funded under the Federal governments "Small Business Incubator Program" and was opened in 2002. The Centre enables new or growing businesses to access a range of services to help them with their start-up or development. In addition to tenant counseling services we provide fee-for-service bookkeeping and secretarial support to tenants and other external clients.

A study of business incubators throughout Australia and New Zealand has shown that 80 percent of businesses that start in a business incubator survive. This is in comparison to the often quoted statistic that 80 percent of small businesses fail in the first 2 years. Business incubator tenants move out to commercial premises generally within two to three years

The Snowy Enterprise Centre Business Incubator is located at 38 Bombala Street Cooma. The Centre has the capacity for up to 8 enterprises. The facilities are very suitable for service orientated businesses, especially those requiring a professional office in which to see clients and a reception service.
